Welcome to the North Northumberland Golf League Website
Established in 1949, the League now consists of fifteen teams from thirteen Golf Clubs, including eight coastal and five inland courses. Covering Northumberland from north of Morpeth to Berwick-upon-Tweed, the North Northumberland Golf league is going from strength to strength with our 2 division Scratch League, the ever popular League Open Days and the newly formed Seniors league and inter club team knockout. All of our clubs welcome visitors all year round and offer good quality golf over a range of different courses.
About The North Northumberland Golf League
The North Northumberland Golf league is home to 13 golf clubs, who’s club members can enjoy a range of competitions for all standards of golfer over the summer.
Scratch League – 15 teams, over 2 divisions, showcases the elite golfers from each club as they compete throughout the summer in the league and also the Glendale Trophy in a team matchplay format.
League Open days – For any golfer at one of the 7 competing golf clubs, 8 man teams play individual stableford for prizes on the day as well as contributing to the team scores
Jack Deeble Seniors League – For club seniors this inter club league has proved popular with its format and competitive nature
WG Bathgate Team Matchplay – Newly formed in 2017 this is another opportunity to represent your club in a team matchplay format. Aimed at the non scratch league golfers, it proved very popular in its inaugural year
