League Open Day Rules
The League Open Days are open to all male members of any of the NNGL affiliated clubs.
The 7 hosting clubs will be allocated 8 guaranteed tee times for each of the Open Days. If players are not allocated to these tee times via the NNGL website within 7 days of the event the tee times will then become available to the other clubs and their members. There are no limits on the number of players that can be sent from each club, however a team of 8 must be declared prior to the first tee time of the day to count towards the clubs team total
The competition to be 18 hole stableford with a maximum course handicap of 28.
The team competitions are split into two leagues, one gross and one net, using stableford points format. The total of four best scores maximum at each venue to be used towards each league total.The number of qualifying scores (presently 4 max) shall be decided at each AGM that changes the number of teams.
There will be an individual gross and net competition at each venue using stableford format, with ties being decided by host club rules. In the event of the same player having the best gross and net, he may take the gross prize with the net prize going to the next best net score.
No player may represent more than one club in a season.
The entry fee, paid directly to the host club, presently £10 per player will be split as follows £2 Sweep & £8 retained by the host club. The host club pay the NNGL £50 from the green fees on the day to cover the costs of the winners Net & Gross medals on the day and a contribution towards the operating costs and upgrading of the NNGL website
The £2 sweep money pot, must be paid out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd stableford positions split 50%, 30% and 20%. Host Clubs will be responsible for paying out sweep money to winning players directly following the competition.
Host clubs must complete the results sheet provided by the league and provide a full copy of the days competition results to the Match Secretary.
The results and league tables will be updated and shown on the NNGL website
